THE BUNDY TAKEOVER

Hello, Solstice here. I’m pleased to recall the amazing event that was the Bundy Takeover. Verve and I had a blast debuting in Binghamton. We produced the album SELF LOVE while we resided over on East Side Binghamton, so this show only made perfect sense to be held at the Bundy Museum. A small but charming venue it was - and our unique set was welcomed with open arms by staff and audience. Joining us for this show was a list of local musician friends, including BlackTear, AKABURNZYY, jacuh, TripBlaxk, and VBC (incl. BabyMercury, EmKo, Nyii). We all absolutely killed it, and had a blast doing so! Massive shout-out to Koil and Scotti for accompanying Verve and I for our acoustic portion of the set. And of course, the night couldn’t end without a guest appearance from SHABLAMBO!!!!, who hopped onstage to knock out a quick beatbox battle with yours truly. We thank each and every audience member that came out and supported us, giving it their absolute all for our group of freaks. With love and nostalgia I include pictures from this night (huge shout-out to Wormy for the captures!!). I will happily return to the Bundy Museum for another show!
Love, Solstice <3

OPEN MIC NIGHT @ the DEEP DIVE
Verve (guitar), Solstice (keys), Koil (drums)
It’s time to happily reflect on our Ithaca debut, which came in the form of an open mic night at the Deep Dive Bar. We were welcomed on-stage with open ears and eager eyes. The idea behind performing at this open mic night was to break the internal ice for our upcoming show at the Bundy Museum. We played GET IT OVER IT ALL (Solstice & Verve, SELF LOVE EP) as well as a dope freestyle over the Black Ops I Zombies theme. Believe it or not, somebody in the audience did pick up on the theme, which was super cool. After knocking out the acoustic set, we invited SHABLAMBO!!! on-stage for a quick beatbox battle. Additionally, a local rapper Mystory dropped a DOPE freestyle over some duo beatbox. The crowd went absolutely NUTS, revealing to us that they hadn’t experienced live beatbox before, let alone a live freestyle over it. I recall speaking with the bartender afterwards, and she told me that she had never seen every single person in the bar pull out their phone and record at the same time. That was a pretty awesome feeling, and a great experience for us. This was truly our first time performing on stage, and first time beatboxing on stage as well. I’d like to give a special thanks to Koil for featuring on drums, and to Wormy for capturing these moments! See ya in the next one, love Solstice <3
